The NBA is making this Christmas Day extra special with some match ups featuring some of the league’s best players. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will take on the Boston Three Party and the Celtics where Kobe will be wearing a special edition of the Zoom Kobe IV. LeBron and the Cavs will have a bit of an easier game Christmas Day facing the Wizards, but Nike still pulled out something special for LeBron James to wear on court.

LeBron’s pre-game “chalk throwing” ritual lent inspiration for the latest Nike Zoom LeBron VI commercial, but the ritual has now made its way to his kicks. The tongue label has been replaced with LeBron holding his arms wide open, face towards the sky, and white powder raining down. The colorway of the kicks ties into the Cavs’ navy/red jerseys with an added touch of woodgrain wrapped midsole.

Tune into TNT at 8PM EST to catch a glimpse of LeBron wearing the Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Chalk Edition.” After all, Santa isn’t the only one who likes to fly.

Saturday, December 20th will be a dark day indeed. The Black Friday Air Force 1 Low will be launching at select boutiques around the country including UBIQ. Retailers will be releasing a small number of these and they will only run you $150. Good luck on snagging your self a pair!

This Nike Air Force 1 features the crocodile leather texture on the heel. It also contains three other textures on the upper such as premium leather (toe box area), pebbled leather (side panels) and suede on the swoosh.

Nevertheless, the colorway is the main focus on this sneaker. It features a predominately granite grey upper with red accents on the shoelaces, swoosh, outsole, tongue, and heel.

Here is an update on the Air Jordan 1 (I) Retro - Quai 54. As of now they are scheduled for an April 2009 release. They feature a black and white color scheme along with a leather construction. They color scheme is very attractive and for once as compared to other kicks with a similar silhouette. The toe box, side panel, and bottom sole are white, and the rest of the sneaker is black. The ankle area features th Quai 54 logo on it. For those of who who didn’t know, they are releasing to pay homage to Quai 54, the legendary basketball tournament which takes place in Paris every year. It isn’t the first time that Jordan Brand has done that, as they released the Wine n’ Grind Pack earlier this year. Let us know what you think

We have know about this nice pair for a few weeks ans we want notify you guys that they are now available at local Nike Sportswear shops. Inspired the classic Gucci colors, they sport an all black colorway made from from leather as well as other materials. They are embellished with a black tone-on-tone paisley pattern on portions of the upper, which is definitely a highlight of the shoe. The other highlight would have to be the classic red / green Gucci stripes that grace the shoe’s upper. These are sure to be a hit and though they are inspured by Gucci they still look like a pair of Nike’s and still would look good if they were inspired by some other brand

Freshness Mag got the official word on the Big Apple Zoom LeBron VI yesterday but did not have enough detailed shots of the shoes. We just got a pair of them this morning so we got you guys some detailed shots, check them out below. Just as a reminder, LeBron will be rocking them tonight in first trip of the 2008-09 NBA season to take on the Knicks. In the past two seasons when LeBron came to New York, his signature sneakers paid homage to New York City’s culture which included the Graffiti NYC Zoom LeBron IV, the Yankees Zoom LeBron V, and now the Big Apple version of the Six. This colorway will be available Friday, November 28th at select Nike retailers through out NYC including House of Hoops and The Rivington Club.

By now its pretty clear NEW ERA has no intention of slowing down their freshly acquired comics licenses. Frankly speaking, we’re not mad at all. Case and point would be this ultra limited fitted baseball cap release of MARVEL COMICS’ own Iron Man. Sure this is a bit late for Halloween and very much over-the-top, but we can’t deny this is one insane example of what can done when thinking outside the box. NEW ERA achieved the metallic sheen of Tony’s Starks power suit by using polyurethane vinyl. This cap SCREAMS for a pair of IDS, and take it from us - it won’t be left lonely for long. Until IRON MAN 2 hits theaters this will have its own space in the treasury. In our opinion, this is more of a trophy/conversation piece than a fitted for everyday wear. Now for all those with envy in their hearts, consult the closest NEW ERA flagship store near you before they all vanish. Rumors are less than 100 pieces were produced. You do the math …

On November 28th Jordan Brand is set to release a three pack (not package) of Air Jordan XX3s inspired by different phases of Michael Jordan’s career. The pack begins with a UNC Air Jordan XX3 continues on to a Chicago Air Jordan XX3 and ends with Michael Jordan’s “New Love” of motorcycle racing. The Chicago Air Jordan XX3 get the imagination going as we ask ourselves, “what if the GOAT was still playing with Chicago?” Chances are, if  MJ was still playing with the Bulls today, he would be wear this pair of Air Jordan XX3s.

The Chicago Air Jordan XX3 features a White Patent toebox/tongue, a Black leather body with Red and White contrast stitching, a shimmering Red midsole, and a White oustole. The Chicago Air Jordan XX3 also comes with a dog tag with MJ’s Bulls jersey on it that reads 1984-1998.

The Chicago Air Jordan XX3 is set to officially release on 11/28.
