Here’s a new cut that Wale dropped off on his Twitter a bit earlier today.

It looks like Vevo put together a small documentary of one of Wale’s trips home to DC.  Vevo follows him as he speaks at a few colleges, hits up an open mic night and then freestyles outside a local chili shop.  You can really see the strong connection Wale has with his city and the DMV area.  I always love to see celebrities going back and really being involved with their community.

P.S. Doesn’t it seem like Wale is always on the phone?  In every video I see of him his phone is out for 90% of the video.  Put it away for a second man!

Wale unleashed another freestyle via Twitter today, and it features his DMV homie Fat Trel.  He goes in over Wack Flocka’s owleehdooowit “O Let’s Do It” cut and provided the only reason possible to ever listen to the beat. Check the bonus from Fat Trel featuring Wale too.  You welcome.

Here comes the CDQ version of another record from Statik Selectah’s “100 Proof: The Hangover,” which is due out on February 2nd.

This track is a perfect record, with Statik Selectah on the boards, a verse from Bun B and Wale and Colin Munroe on the hook. Smooth production, ILL verses and a great hook. What more can you ask for? Plus, I haven’t heard Wale spit a verse that good in a while. Enjoy this track while you can.

Part 2: The Album Release Day, features a ‘Fuse TV’ interview, performances on MTV’s ‘It’s On With Alexa Chung’ a Radio Phoner with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez and an appearance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ followed by a desperate attempt to catch a late train back to his hometown of D.C.
