Here’s the thing with this song: I feel like a) this song has already been out for a while, b) it’s wayyyy too eclectic and is trying too hard to be a lot of different things, and c) it would have fit in better back in like 2007, and just sounds weird in this day and age. Anyone feelin’ what I’m saying?

So I guess T-Pain has decided to release his album after all.  Chris Brown and T-Pain duke it out to win a young woman’s love in this video. See who wins. When will Revolver, hit stores? Who knows.

Alright 5star fam, here’s the deal. With summer rapidly approaching, radio stations around the country are going to be searching for the next hits to dominate the airwaves from May – August. Thus, artists are going to be putting out dumbed down records with catchy, hip-pop hooks to attract the attention of the mainstream media.

• Do I even have to write anything for this one? I feel like this is literally the epitome of everything I just described in the opening paragraph… Lovey-dovey lyrics, a catchy hook sang by the pharaoh of hip-pop, and hard hitting drums. Instant hit.

After leaking a couple enjoyable tracks, T-Pain quietly drops off his pre-album mixtape for the masses to enjoy. The offering actually surprised me, as it boasts 30 quality songs with great beat selection. As some of you may know, whenever I download a project, I tend to delete the songs I don’t like before I stick it on my iPod, so that I don’t have to worry about skipping tracks I don’t like when I’m vibing out to my music.

That being said, I barely deleted any of the tracks on this mixtape. Almost every song is enjoyable, and this definitely got me hyped for Pain’s full studio album.

Damn…homie is big. Anyway, here comes 7 minutes of absolutely INSANITY to your dome. I usually absolutely hate remixes like this, but there are a few ok verses on here, if not for anything more than the spectacle of rappers doing triple-time rapping.

Slant $0.02: Quite the interesting juxtaposition we got going here: transitioning from the classy, soulful music of Pusha T to the obnoxious “gangsta” music of DJ Khaled & co. That’s what makes hip hop so interesting; there are so many different types of this one genre.

On a side note, T-Pain sure has a thing with the word “boom”, huh. And on a side-side note, where the dump is prEVOLVEr??
