Making his first appearance on 5 Star Hip Hop is Toronto native, Omar Linx. Of course, having  half of Slaughterhouse on your shit, will get you posted real quick. Just sayin’.

The Toronto based rapper is becoming increasingly popular, due to his crossover work with dubstep producers ‘Zeds Dead’. Omar LinX brings a fresh new style to hip-hop. His raspy vocals pack a serious punch and are complimented by his choice of producers. Lyrically LinX is versatile, able to achieve honest and haunting introspection on some tracks while on others keeping the lyrical content light and full of punchlines. ‘City of Ommz’ features appearances from Royce Da 5?9?, Joell Ortiz, Emilio Rojas along with production from MoSS, Zeds Dead, Arthur McArthur and more.

Since I’ve been on vacation here in the lovely city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, I went crazy at the music store! So what I’m going to do, starting with this post, is give you a condensed review of each new album I bought (Not Downloaded!). Tony Starks a.k.a Ghostface Killah is back on the scene with his latest offering called Apollo Kids. The album is definitely a must have in your collection, and features some of Hip Hop’s finest. Overall, I’d give the album a strong 8. Hot lyrics + Dope Beats – Lies = Real Hip Hop. Wutang Forever!
