Ricky Ross the Boss C.O. and David Banner talk with the makers of The Fence Documentary about religion, and how it is reflected in hip hop. Good interviews here, especially my boy David Banner, which is the only reason I’m postin’. Haha. Shout to Urban Music for the heads up.
My homie, my boy, and favorite rapper, David Banner (what you got to say Advocate?) chops it up wit DJ Hyphen about politics.
David Banner stopped by KUBE 93 in Seattle on 10/5/08 to talk with DJ Hyphen and Sunday Night Sound Session about the importance of the 2008 presidential election. He explained why he supports Barack Obama, what the presidential candidate represents to him, and why it’s critical that the youth get involved in the political process.
Vote for change on November 4th and let your voice be heard!
This is the video for Anthony Hamilton’s new single featuring David Banner. This is off Hamilton’s upcoming album, The Point of It All, which is set to drop November 18, 2008. I messes with this song….

But you know Banner, he’s always flexible; can make any genre of music hot. That’s what he did too, this song is actually hot, despite the surprise of these two collaborating. He actually speaks about what I mean, in the song. Oh, by the way, this is off Mary Mary’s upcoming album, The Sound, dropping October 14.

This is off Geen Lantern’s upcoming mixtape, Yes We Can, which wa supposed to drop this week, but will be held off until sometime next week. This should give you a feel of what to expect from the tape. I thought with a lineup like so, this song could’ve been a bit better, though.

Being versatile as a artsit makes you stand out from the others. David Banner has been hittin us with verstiliy since he came out. I am a fan of Banner’s music and I also respect him for the things he does outside of music. He is one of the few artists who uses his fame to help others. This track from him is nuthin but real talk on it, check it out.

This entry was posted byLil Kim joins a few others in her efforts to tackle the “Put On” beat. Her verse is thrown in between Jeezy’s verse and Kanye’s. I thought it was an okay verse, but, then again, Put On is a hot beat, and is easy to tackle. What did y’all think? Check out some other Put On Freestyles as well as a new Jeezy track of The Recession (in stores September 2nd).

Or simply just songs that didn’t get any attention that I felt needed to get attention. All of these songs are “5 STARS” in my opinion. I have decided I will do the Sunday Rewind a limited amount of Sundays. Probably the first Sunday of each month.
Anyhow, here goes The Sunday Rewind for Sunday, August 3, 2008 (Volume 5). I’m working on some artwork for this segment, but my Photoshop skills aren’t all that, haha.

Mississippi rapper/producer David Banner has been exclusively chosen by legendary entertainer Quincy Jones to remix his classic songs for an upcoming album.
According to Billboard, the colorful entertainer will have the opportunity to remake his top picks alongside a team of other popular producers.
“Quincy Jones got me, Akon, Pharrell Williams and T-Pain,” he explained. “[He] allowed us to choose and remake our favorite songs.”
