consequence movies on demand Consequence Movies On Demand [Artwork + Tracklist]

Looks like Consequence dropped off his Movies On Demand artwork and tracklist over at Kanye’s blog. For this project, Consequence recruits a supporting cast of Rick Ross, Pharoahe Monch, Styles P, Maino, Spree Wilson, Common, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Q-Tip, Kid Cudi, Big Sean Asher Roth, Diddy and The Lox.

And though the project debuts on March 15th, we have already received a few stand out tracks from the project, including “Childish Games“ with Asher Roth, “Sounds G.O.O.D. 2 Me,” “Whatever U Want“ with his fellow G.O.O.D. Music artists, and the Bad Boy Remix to “Whatever U Want.”

Overall, I must say that I am very excited for this project to come about.

XXLFreshmen2010 XXL Freshman Class of 2010 Cover

The cover hits shelves March 16th! I still think last years list is more impressive than this, but it’s all good.

The new breed of hustlers includes: Roc Nation’s first signee J. Cole, gangsta rap up-and-comer Nipsey Hu$$le, newly-minted Asylum lyricist Pill, 1017 Brick Squad member OJ Da Juiceman, indie-sensation Wiz Khalifa, G.O.O.D. music’s own Big Sean, underground favorite Fashawn, Gary, Indiana rep Freddie Gibbs, West Coast phenom Jay Rock and the latest addition to the Atlantic roster, Donnis.

XXL will be dropping a mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid next Monday, March 8 featuring new exclusive music from all ten. More info to come soon on the XXL 10 Freshmen for ’10 concert later this month in NYC.

XXL’s April issue hits newsstands March 16 and includes the Freshmen producers, hip-hop soul artists, hip-hop duos & groups, also an in-depth look on what it’s like to be a new rapper today, a look back at last year’s Freshmen class, with an Eye Candy that’ll make you say ahh.

A Sneak Peek into XXL’s 2010 Freshmen (Video)

Above is a sneak peak into XXL’s 2010 Freshman list, which will hit news stands March 16th, showcasing Nipsey Hussle, Pill, Fashawn and J. Cole.

If the list that Karen Civil is accurate than I am less than impressed with half of the list. While I am content with the mentions of J. Cole, Big Sean, Fashawn, Donnis and Wiz Khalifa, their lack of mentioning Chip The Ripper, Pac Div, Kidz In The Hall and Drake are a disgrace.

Hit the break to see the entire list, courtesy of Karen Civil, along with my list.

drake away from home tour Drakes The Away From Home Tour Dates

Here are the confirmed tour dates for Drake’s upcoming “The Away From Home” tour, as posted by Drake Oliver on Drake’s internet home, October’s Very Own.  Sidenote:  It took me a while to realize the theme behind this tour.  It’s a tour dedicated to college students (like all of the 5starhiphop staff) who have home’s away from home.  hence, why all the stops are at universities (not mine though).  Much respect Drake.  Much respect.

Kid Cudi X Bape X Milo Party T-Shirt

bape kid cudi milo party tee Kid Cudi X Bape X Milo Party T Shirt

It is a well known fact that Kid Cudi is a big fan of A Bathing Ape. He has been spotted wearing Bape at many events, and has collaborated with the Japanese-based company once before. Here, we find Cudi surrounded by Bape’s signature character, Baby Milo, with the phrase “Take Another Shot Or You’re Soft! Rage!” Those who have seen Cudder in concert know how fitting this t-shirt is. Once I have some extra cash, A Bathing Ape t-shirt will be my next purchase, they make such dope shirts. The shirt will be available exclusively on Bape’s online store tomorrow. Cop that!

DJ Khaled – Victory (Artwork + Tracklist)

khaled artwork DJ Khaled Victory (Artwork + Tracklist)

I have seen the tracklist floating around for the past several weeks, but today OnSmash released the album artwork.

For “Victory,” Khaled enlists a supporting cast of Drake, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Kanye West, Nas, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Shyne, Trick Daddy, John Legend and more. Though his guest feature line-up is not out of the ordinary, I was surprised to see the features on the title track. Enlisting Kanye West, John Legend, Nas and Jadakiss for one record will be more than epic.

I remember the last time Kanye West, John Legend and Khaled linked up. It is, to this day, one of my favorite songs of all time.

1. DJ Khaled Intro ft. Diddy
2. Fed Up ft. Usher, Drake, Young Jeezy & Rick Ross
3. All My Life ft. Akon, Mavado & Shyne
4. Victory ft. John Legend, Kanye West, Nas & Jadakiss
5. Put Your Hands Up ft. Young Jeezy, Rick Ross & Plies
6. Rocking All My Chains ft. Soulja Boy, Bun B & Birdman
7. Bring The Money Out ft. Nelly, Lil Boosie & Fat Joe
8. Untitled ft. T-Pain & Trick Daddy
9. She Killing Me ft. Buju Banton & Busta Rhymes
10. Loco With The Cake (rmx) ft. Ace Hood & Yo Gotti
11. Untitled 2 ft. Fabolous & Ne-Yo
12. Heavy In The Streets ft. Red Rum

Sidebar: Head over to Derek G’s place to see the official trailer, shot by him.

Wale Speaks On His Sex Column In Honey (Video)

“I feel that I matter in another sense other than rap,” Wale said on the L.A. set of his “Pretty Girls” video. “I have an album out, I’m in all these magazines and TV, but I took time out to write an article as if I was presenting it for a class. I was like, ‘Wow, people really love the article.’ My mother always told me I was good with words. A lot of the women actually dug it. I was keeping it funky, like 100. I don’t do all that lying and all that. I straight-shoot on that. It came out pretty good. I look forward to doing more stuff with Honey Mag.” – VH1

B.o.B.’s Debut Album Set For May Release

bobby ray B.o.B.s Debut Album Set For May Release

Rap-Up is reporting that the Atlanta emcee’s long-awaited debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, is officially slated for a May release.

Now that Kid Cudi, Wale, and Asher Roth have taken their turns at bat, all eyes will be on newcomer B.o.B aka Bobby Ray. Find out what all the buzz is about when the Atlanta native releases his debut album this May.

The Adventures of Bobby Ray will arrive on May 25 via Atlantic Records in conjunction with T.I.’s Grand Hustle label and Jim Jonsin’s Rebel Rock Entertainment, Rap-Up.com has learned.

We all know how pointless releases dates are in hip-hop though, let’s hope this one hold up.  Although I have to say I am not really feeling the first single from the album, “Nothin’ On You (feat. Bruno Mars).”  It is really poppy and definitely meant for the radio.  After all the industry bullshit Bobby Ray has had to endure, a song geared towards the mainstream radio is not something I expected.  Let’s hope the rest of the album is different.
