This interview comes from Hard Knock TV.  Common talks about the Bears, growin up in Chicago, developing as an artist, and numerous other Chi town artists.   Side Note:  If you ever have the chance to see Common in concert, make sure you don’t miss it.  It was one of the best shows I have been to.  You may get the chance to see him breakdance, rock out on the drums, or lay down a sick freestyle.  Don’t ever pass up a Common show.

Below, are three tracks that showcase the lyricism and talent of one of the best poets/writers that I have had to privilege of hearing. To me, his lyrical style brings forth influences of Mos Def, Nas, Talib Kweli, etc., which merits a listen. Links below folks.

The last week of Manic Mondays people.  What else will you do with your Monday’s?  Haha.  Been a good run.  Last song is definitely one to remember.

Here it is…the final song of my Manic Mondays series…this song is called 10 minutes because it last for 10 Minutes and is essentially a mini movie of various events that happen to myself and my engineer Big Drew in our attempt to make it to the studio within 10 Minutes…but even doper is that I challenged myself to name most of the 52 songs in order that were in my series…if you listen closely you can peep it…time passed crazy with this series…I wanna thank every website, blog, DJ, and fan that continues to support my music…during the process of Manic Mondays I’ve recorded a massive amount of music so I still have 248 songs that haven’t been released…I’ll still be releasing new records and Albums in the process of working on my next project that is being sponsored by the fam at DJ Booth, 2 DopeBoyz, and KevinNottingham…Also Below are two links….One is to Manic Mondays Vol 3 presented by Mixtape Assassin & JacquesMorel.com. Better late than….really late.

Nowadays every new artist coming into the game seems to have Identity Crisis…meaning that they all try to be other rap artist that are already in the game…keeping that in mind I challenged myself with this song to copy the styles of 8 rap artist that I like that are in the game now…check it out and see if you can figure out which artist I mimicked for this song…my in house producer Kurser did the beat and it’s dope…props to everyone who supports.”
