Here comes some new visuals off of Lloyd Banks’ “Hunger For More 2″.

Though this is a typical G-Unit, or more specifically Lloyd Banks, music video, Pusha T saves the day, as his verse was the only reason that I enjoyed the video and the record.

In case you were wondering, Banks decided to put the brakes on his “Cold Corner 2″ mixtape, as he is prepping for a new album.

After giving us a preview of his new sound last night, Cudi delivers a video to one of my favorite songs from “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager”.

“Marijuana” was shot, directed and edited by Shia LaBeouf.

What a way to end the night, as Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius deliver a new song, entitled “Perfect Is The Word”.

This serves as the first song into the new direction that Cudi is taking, alongside his go-to guy, Dot Da Genius. Is this off of a potential album? Who knows, and who cares. Regardless of how you want to cut it, Cudi will never make wack music, and this is yet another testament.

Here comes some new music from one of my favorite groups, The Higher Concept.

This song, “Toast To Life”, is one of my favorite THC songs thus far, as they cease to make music that is less than brilliant. The upbeat tempo mixed with unbeatable THC verses and chorus, accompanied by production from J. Glaze and guitar instrumentation from Dave Giordano, make this a perfect song to listen to on repeat.

Here we are with a new song just in time to celebrate the new year! “Toast To Life” is an ode to the good times we have with friends and family. Produced by J. Glaze and featuring Dave Giordano on guitar, “Toast To Life” is one of THC’s favorite songs to date. As I am browsing on Twitter, I got a message from Matty J of The Higher Concept, letting me know that they just released some new material.

J. Glaze produced this track, entitled “Vice City (Boardwalk Empire)”, which is a good way to start off the morning. This song is brilliant, as all THC songs are, so it is worth your few moments to download and listen–on repeat. Link below, folks. Don’t miss this.

My brother, Fly-C,from across the way sent this over the other night, but I have been experiencing some internet connection issues, so I haven’t been able to post it until now.

Nonetheless, here comes new material from Fly-C, where he delivers a freestyle, entitled “Bachelor”.

From Me, To You – The Prelude to Gift Raps serves as a preview to the debut album from Chip, which is entirely produced by Chuck Inglish from The Cool Kids. A whole album produced by Chuck? I fuck with that.

Sidebar: Since the boys at 5STAR did not post the EP when it was released, I am adding a .ZIP file below for anyone to get it if you haven’t done so already. Also, for the skeptics, this EP is nicely done. I think it is dope, and I am still bumping it since I got it a few months back.

Here is the latest video drop from one of my favorite acts, The Higher Concept, called “Life’s Good”.

Also, I was given the opportunity to speak with the guys of THC and we composed a little interview to give you guys a chance to get to know The Higher Concept. An excerpt is below, while the rest of the interview is after the break.

Tell me basic information — such as who you are and where you’re from (as well as the group), how you met, what each of you specifically do, how/where people can get in touch with you, etc.

I – They call me IB… I’m originally from Md. (right outside of D.C.) where I grew up making music with Tekst and J. Glaze. When I got to college, Matty J was living 2 doors down from me in the freshman dorms at Syracuse University. We started doing shows around upstate NY in ’05 and were pretty muched based out of Syracuse until 2007 when we moved to Staten Island and The House of Dreams, where we’ve been holding it down ever since. I handle the Networking, Marketing and PR for THC

M – My name’s Matty J, I’m from Syracuse, NY, and I met IB in college at SU, and subsequently met Tekst and Glaze through him. I do all of the editing for the videos we put out (www.youtube.com/knotlionthc), and I also created and update the website (www.thehigherconcept.com). Oh yea, I rap too!

T – I go by Tekst.  I grew up with IB in Maryland with our producer J. Glaze.   I mainly rap in The Higher Concept but we each have our own sidejobs as we do everything ourselves as a group.  Im an audio engineer that runs VIEW Studio on Staten Island.  We all live here so I do all the recording/mixing of our music.  Iv also designed all the artwork THC every uses for albums, flyers, etc.
