I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and 9th was just saying that the album is not exactly his cup of tea. He didn’t say it wasn’t worth the wait or that it’s bad, or anything like that, it was more like – ‘to each his own, but it’s just not my thing’. And respect for that. We’re not ‘obligated’ to love it just because it’s Jay and Kanye. With all this being said, although I have been expecting way more from the duo, I think the record is pretty solid. I was actually hoping it would sound more like Jigga, but unfortunately it’s like ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 2′.

From the sound of the first song I was thought to myself “This going to be a Kanye West album featuring Jay-Z.” It was… Honestly that’s not a bad thing. Kanye is just on something else creatively right now. Being someone who enjoys great production as much as lyrics, I enjoyed the album. Is that opinion slightly biased? Sure. Jay and ‘Ye are 2 of my personal favorites. All in all I’d probably give it a 7/10. Definitely worth keeping in rotation for a little while.

As far as the inevitable question of whether or not it’s better than Hell: The Sequel? 4 incomparable artists. 2 very different albums. So it’s hard to say. If I had to say anything though, I do feel like I felt better about The Sequel through the first few listens.

9th Wonder’s comments are what’s beautiful about music. To each his own. We all know people who bump Based God or Soulja Boy but would antagonize Gambino or Tyler. I know that’s not exactly what he’s saying. But there’s no standard as to what “good music” is. Everything isn’t for everybody.

Solid album but was expecting much much much more from the duo! Thought that with KanYe on the production and Jay with the lyrics that this would be a classic but it really isn’t. I probably need to get used to the beats like how I did with MBDTF but this will still be a dissapointment in my eyes.
Section 80 remains my favourite album this year …

Thanks for sharing Guys….I am trying to give the album more listens before I decide. …but so far I am like eh…

some songs the beats ride harder than the lyrics..and i wish there was more of a concept to it….if i want songs about nothing i will go bump some wacka.

WTT is wack for the most part. I’m a hardcore Jay-z fan and I’m very into Kanye’s conceptual music…etc. Maybe it was too much hype but real talk it was less than subpar. When Jay and Ye get together it should be stellar and this album is nowhere near that. Think about it objectively, are you gonna rank this in your top 10, 15 or 20 albums? I think not. They missed the mark I mean out of a 15 song album you get like 4 bangers? Really? That’s just not gonna fly…I wouldn’t even entertain that from an up and comer…so why would I entertain that when it comes to Jay & Ye.

The two are legendary in Hip Hop but sometimes even Legends fall. What’s important now is that they pick themselves back up. They fell off with this effort but I still have faith they will do their thang in the nearby future.

This album might be a victim of being too overhyped. The first time i heard it i didnt like it but the more i listen to it the more i love it. Kanye is very creative and he makes music. The album is different and i love the way it flows. Jay-Z didnt go as hard as i wouldve liked. He complimented Kanye more than Kanye complimented him. All in all, i liked it and it was a great album overall. Had the album came out with a small amount of publicity & marketing i’m sure it would have been better recieved.

this cd is full of bologna and im talkin cheap brand of out dated bologna, i hope no1 buys and pays for their thoughtless actions and bad deeds behind doors that is done and most dont believe cause the public focuses on the people we c and not what they do behind closed doors no 1 knows till they dead and gone and somehow news gets and puts out. this cd is nothing. it would be cool if it was done back in jays younger days or when kanye dropped college dropout..but nowa days garbage is being produced not beats, so people dont go support someone who doesnt support you and has never made a song about fans appreciation but songs about bs. we need music that matters not music thats popular. popularity does not define greatness. jayz needs to really retire and not just use retire to boost up his sales when he announce he coming back…again. kanye need to quit looking at life as he really does have super powers. beyonce need 2 go 2 her dads church n take them wit her, she said on surviver i will never compromise my christianity but look now. she sayn and doin . and how she let her husbond live smh.

I personally thought the album was great. If you dont think ye and jay came through then i dont think you listened to the song properly because this album was ridiculous and some of the songs blew me away. But thats just my opinion
