Wale has always been a passionate topic here at 5STAR. JZ, 5STAR and always loved him from the start. Maybe not Hate is the New Love early, but we’ve been on this dude for some time now. JZ already expressed his sentiments about the direction that Mr. Folarin has taken, and I’m pretty sure he’s on the brink of completely giving up on him. Wale even tweeted him promising that Ambition would be his best work yet, so I think that is JZ’s last test. With the release of Wale’s first mixtape, The Eleven One Eleven Theory, since being signed to MMG, I want to hear your opinions and thoughts. Is this dude finally going to become mainstream? Can he last mainstream? Has his music really changed that much? What is different about him? Any and all comments are welcome. The doors are open. I’ll be bringing this back up to the top when Ambition does drop on 11.1.11.

Wale will not be mainstream because he is trying to go mainstream. His music has been watered down lately. His cockiness is starting to get on my nerves, because the music he has been releasing sucks. He has messed up his fan base when he signed to MMG. This upcoming album will make or break Wale.

What he said. I knew him signing with MMG would be a bad fit, because his style of music seriously clashes with everybody else on the label. After More About Nothing he has been seriously lacking in my opinion, and I hate that because I’ve been a fan of his for a while now. I didn’t love his first album, but I predict I’ll appreciate it more than his next one.

everybody critic now of days wale might be one the over analyzed rappers in like the last 5 years, i never seen somebody be accused of changing so much i admit him singing to MMG was kinda weird the only person on the label who is not talking about selling drugs but thats not first time that has happen the theory doesn’t sound that different from more about nothing so JZ tweaking. So he does a couple song with a Rick Ross type beat does that mean he change no because the things he talk about have not change. i think the real problem is people dont like rick ross and wale is signed to his label stop over analyzing the music……………….IT’S ON HIP-HOP

Wale is the truth I will admit I was worried when he signed to MMG… I like Ross but I just feared the lane Wale may take and even though I liked the tracks Wale did on the MMG album its not the music I expect to hear from Wale….. But he shut me up wit the 11.1.11 Theory and I’m glad he did….. Top 5 artist in the Game and I’m lookin forward to Ambition…. Hit me up on twitter @MynamesCHIEF

Wale was a cocky rapper before he was even with MMG. The Theory is my opinion is not one of his best work. I been a fan since i don’t know 100 Miles and running. Theory is way off track on of 100 miles and More about nothing . Since when have you ever heard this man talk about weed and BItches so much on a track before. Dont fall for the these foolish A&R.JUST WANT THE OLD WALE BACK.

i dunno? the MMG thing has really put me off. Anything to do with Rick Ross immediately taints my view. i cant believe how successful ross still is and mc’s i thought new better would align themselves with him. Wale alienated half of his fan base with that……..(or maybe just me?) but then at the same time opened him self up to MMG fans who probably said “who?” when they signed him so he might win but he lost me……..like he gives a shit. lol.
