People who are familiar with my posts here know that I have a penchant for interviewing artists that are not that well known.  I enjoy looking for up and coming talent and getting to talk to them to understand what they are really about.  I first brought you Wes Blaze, then Goone, but today I’m bringing you an artist that is a bit more established in the game.  His name is Doxx, a native of my hometown Cleveland Heights who most recently has been working out in Toronto on his debut album.  Already 5 mixtapes deep, with one of them having been hosted by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban, today Doxx released his latest tape, Let It Be…Famous, his own twist to six Beatles’ songs.  I was able to interview him while he was in Toronto last week, so hit the jump to learn more about Doxx and download his music.

Last week I gave you the single to “Sky High Sky Fly” from Harlem recording artist, RIZ. Today, I am going to unleash to trailer to his upcoming video that accompanies his “Sky High Sky Fly” single.

The video was shot in Harlem, NYC, at the Vault clothing store, and will be dropping very soon.

Sidebar:  How ridiculous is it that on his first album, Mr. Bobby Ray was able to have features from T.I., Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, AND the front-man from Weezer.  Insanity

Haven’t gotten the chance to listen, due to class, but from what I’m hearing Em doesn’t let us down.  Eminem goes IN on this track, and it’s definitely a huge step up from Relapse (Which even admits in the song was “ehhh”).  My excitement has officially been spiked, and I have begun my countdown to June 22.  I also have heard that It’s not his usual light-hearted upbeat single like he’s usually used before, but rather more of a truthful confession and pledge to bring nothing but his best efforts to the mic.  Paul Rosenberg, his manager, gives us the scoop:

About the album’s new direction — reflected in the album’s recent title change — Rosenberg says the set will be “more accessible to more fans. He [Eminem] had pretty much completed a whole second album worth of material but at some point he took a step back, looked at it and said, ‘I think I want to record some more,’” he says. “But in recording, the album started to sound so different and was going in such a different direction that he decided to keep it going and turn it into a whole new album. The last album was really for the core Eminem fans. I think this record will open that up a bit.”
