This entry was posted byAbove, Lupe Fiasco talks to MTV about his latest mixtape, “Enemy of the Sate,” his music leaking and more.
Courtesy of MTV:
Thanks a lot, music thieves and Internet hackers — or at least the ones who have been pillaging through Lupe Fiasco’s new joints. Because of you guys, the MC said he’s not putting out the sequel to his Enemy of the State: A Love Story mixtape anytime soon.
“I was plotting on doing the follow-up to that,” Lupe said. “Simply because [Enemy of the State] was short. And I felt like it was space to do another one. I was gonna do another one called Friend to the People, but I started to get wind that people had songs they shouldn’t have had. I was like, ‘This is just gonna open the floodgates if I come out with another record. I know these dudes are threatening to leak records and do crazy stuff.’ Sometimes I feel there may be too much Lupe music out there — whether it be old stuff or new stuff or freestyles. I don’t want to have a ton of music sitting out. I made the decision to fall back from it and really focus on the climb. We were a couple of weeks away from doing that.”
After the break, you can check out Lupe Fiasco performing his latest single, “I’m Beaming,” while in Chicago at the Shrine.

This entry was posted byHere comes some unreleased material from Mos Def, entitled “The Tournament.”
Apparently this track was set to be featured on Mos Def’s latest work, “The Ecstatic,” but failed to make the cut. Though it failed to be featured on “The Ecstatic,” “The Tournament” is an ILL record, not to be passed up.
Plus, why would you want to pass up on some new/unreleased Mos Def?

Here is some footage of Kid Cudi’s recent concert in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. I was fortunate enough to be at this show and I cannot even describe to you the atmosphere. The sound quality isn’t great, but if you listen closely you can hear every single person in there singing along with his songs. If you are a fan, and haven’t seen him in concert yet, you are sorely missing out. In the video, Cudi performs either a freestyle or a song from his upcoming album Cudder, Sky Might Fall, and then brings out fellow Clevelander Chip Tha Ripper to perform Ask About Me. Enjoy.
This entry was posted byAs promised, here is the CDQ version of the video I posted a few days back. Now you can entertain the ladies with the MP3! Enjoy.

This entry was posted byBoy, the word “freestlye” sure does get thrown around loosely these days. But I digress. As Big Sean continues to gear up for his journey into 2010, he brings us some visuals to this track entitled “Supa Dupa Lemonade Freestyle.” Definitely some good one liners in here, but I hope Big Sean evolves into more than just a punchline rapper, which is pretty much what he is right now. Also, his voice is so monotone that it is hard to listen to sometimes. But the kid is talented, I can’t deny that. The mp3 of this track should be out tonight/tomorrow and when it drops I will post it for those who want to have it on their computer. For now, enjoy the video.
This entry was posted byHere is another one from Bun B in preparation for his upcoming mixtape, No Mixtape, that drops digitally at midnight on Feb. 1. and will also be available in hard copy. The Underground King goes in over the Clipse “Champion” beat, and as usual, kills it. I must say, Bun B has been a beast on the mic for a very long time. Enjoy.
