Here comes a look at the first time Jay-Z and Roc Nation signee, J. Cole, perform together. During the Blueprint 3 tour at Penn State, Jay brings out Cole for their A Star is Born joint. Though the quality is shaky and grainy, it does give us a look at what to expect from the two.
Sidebar: Isn’t it more than crazy to think that one year ago, J. Cole was in school dreaming of this day. Props to Cole for being one of the illest out, period. Also, did you catch the beat drop out for the end of Cole’s verse? More than amazing.

This track is phenomenal! People like J. Cole can bring hip-hop back to having meaning! You can hear it in his lyrics that he’s trying to connect with people on a bigger scale. Things usually happen in cycles, so hopefully all of the up-and-coming artist will start to put some content on their tracks. Props to Roc Nation for discovering him!
