And the #10 hottest in the game goes to Raekwon. We will get one a day until Friday, where they will reveal #5-#1, during Diddy’s Starmaker this Sunday.

They’ve got him behind the pot again! Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon the Chef came back to cook up one of the most potent offerings of 2009 with Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, which is the hottest album in the streets right now. And no, the Brain Trust isn’t just overcome with nostalgia — the conceptual Cuban Linx II picks up where its timeless predecessor left off a decade and a half ago. Rae articulates his calm anger and heavy-handed, at times unmerciful underworld regulation with a compellingly clear yet callous delivery. Production-wise, he went for the best: RZA, Dr. Dre, the late J Dilla.
Sidebar: Here is the question: would you place Raekwon in your top ten? Or do you think he should have been placed higher on the list. Personally, I love Raekwon, but he would not make my top ten list.

In regard to the sidebar, do you mean of all time, or is this a list of who is most relevant right now in hip hop?
Levi Guy September 28, 2009
My sidebar is all time, not just relevant to currently. I just cannot place him in my top ten of all time. Can you?

Levi Guy September 29, 2009
Totally man. I see where they are coming from, but still. Not for me.
