Wale (1st Verse)
Fresh out the airport, fresh out the chair with the Clippers
Like Shaun Livin’- thinking, hmm
I’m tryin to get it like Shaun get it
If Lord giveth, a mill and a milf light skinned
Its like blemishes in life system
But I’m giving it foundation when I write lyric
The anvil (? – not sure on that) night heart minus bright knickers
Maybe not quite the star, but my hearts in it
When Bret Hart meet Brett Favre
A sharp shooter well exceeding and he figure four
You see my figure more or less, six or more
I am best in my lyrics, and lungs and this voice I project
My project is like what pros inject
And niggas so fly, I should be drove in jets
It’s ironic they call me a fresh breathe, no joke
You see them boys sign me to the scope right?
J. Cole
I phone home to the real, they wanna know just how it feel
Who would’ve thought a little nigga from the ‘Ville could get a deal
And tell them niggas at the top, we want your spot we out for real
And yea we heard you got it locked, but like them socks we on your heels
So you best be on your toes nigga, especially on your flows nigga
Cuz man they keep on checkin for me, especially all your hoes nigga
Catch me on your doorstep, you see me let me in
All I want to do is eat, I’m like a freaky lesbian
No, all I want to do is ball on TV Me-ESPN
They heard about the blow, so all my enemies say lets be friends
And all these rappers know just where I’m bout to go, so catch me then
Where all the we knew girls that screamed “fuck you” gon’ let me in
I’m definitely in a class of my own, at dinner with Hov
Hoping that he pass the baton, he just pass the Patron
Aint nothing giving dog, its earned, if you just living dog, you learn
I let you niggas see the light, I’m like the prison yard, I yearn
For that living large, but mama I aint done yet,
Sit back and watch your son rise,
kick back and know your son set, forever
I aint won yet, and never will
Nas told me ‘Life’s a bitch’
Pac said ‘Fuck the world’ and I aint come yet
You up yet? my punchlines like gut checks,
I’m raw dog, I’m rough sex. I’m on deck, I’m up next
I’m God bless, I’m success, so fuck stress
You can get the fuck from round me
And if you’re listenin know you wondering where the fuck they found me
I’m from the ‘Ville Ay Wale, good lookin.
Wale (2nd Verse)
Another day up in my ES, wish it was an LS,
but elastic is my wallet, fuck it.
I dont be stressed like relaxed muscles
Your feedback aint pleasant? Then you can keep it running
Like a muffler, when we not in summer
They like A-List actors, they not no stunnas.
Too much practice now for me to malfunction
So any beat that function, I breathe on and puncture
Leave it like a fe-male, v-gin or puncture
Waiting, showing you her beauty if she’s naked
This like the view of a painting or a lay kin (not sure ?)
This just how beautiful my day is
Beat me how I’m raising up the capital from nothing
Capital I’m raising like I’m through punctuating
Or shift keys, or in eye placement cuz
shifting keys gets your capital raised up. Mothafucka, haah

J.Cole just MURDERS this song.. Wale gets creative, but lets get real..
5ANte November 24, 2009
Wale plays pitty pat compared to Cole on this track.. Wale plays pitty pat alot tho lol so to me its understandable.
mr.323 November 24, 2009
originally I thought Wale was better but I gotta give it up to J.Cole becuz he killed Wale on this song his lyricism was put to work love the metaphors/similes and word play and Wale bars were to plan(he’s been better)…fav line: “All I want to do is eat, I’m like a freaky lesbian…No, all I want to do is ball on TV Me-ESPN…They heard about the blow, so all my enemies say lets be friends”
mr.323 November 24, 2009
Papoose will gettem both tho
meldawg November 24, 2009
For that living large, but mama I aint done yet,
Sit back and watch your son rise,
kick back and know your son set
J. Cole is the future…
Scrilla November 24, 2009
lol @ papoose, all that nigga does is freestyle
Levi Guy November 24, 2009
Haha, Papoose getting at Cole? C’mon son. You know that J. Cole has the capacity to be a hip hop heavyweight after one album, like Nas did with Illmatic. Papoose? Lol.
Marcus November 24, 2009
honestly, both of these niggas killed the song. REAL TALK!!!!!!!!!!
Whoa. November 24, 2009
J. Cole has the best verse on Attention Deficit. Enough said.
Lioness November 24, 2009
J. Cole…..too bad he signed with Jay Z…hope he doesnt do them like Yung Gunz…lol message to J. Cole…read Read READ ur CONTRACT!
thecool11o3 November 24, 2009
No lie, J.Cole AND Wale are both greatness, so it doesnt really matter who had a better rhyme. But to pick one or the other. My vote goes to J.Cole. Real shit, they still both dope as hell!
Jai November 24, 2009
gotta agree wit Mr. 323 wit that Papoose comment….most these Hipster Mc’s (if you wanna even call them MC’s) is weak. put em all in a room and watch em come up with only one decent line.
Levi Guy November 25, 2009
Well, J. Cole is amazing. J. Cole > Papoose, everyday.
Meldawg November 25, 2009
how can anyone take shots at wale or j. cole? go download the warm up… that mixtape was one of the best joints that dropped all year… i mean that as in its one of the best albums/mixtapes… please with the papoose nonsense
Jai November 25, 2009
@Meldawg—- Please….Cuban Linx 2, son!!! thats where its at…… j. cole is nothing and wale had one half decent joint-nike boots. thats it.
Meldawg November 25, 2009
OB4CL2 was near classic i agree… but i just don’t know how you can deny these dudes talent… they are next
Marcus November 25, 2009
yea Meldawg is right….The Warm Up was one of thee best mixtapes i’ve heard in a while…. J. Cole is a great artist and so is Wale…..can u say the future?
Marcus November 25, 2009
plus,…don’t get me wrong Papoose is a good artist too…but what has he done lately 4 hip-hop??
not much comes to mind these days when u say Papoose
Ro November 25, 2009
I think J. Cole killed it. Wale did his thing but he is so much better at making a story. J. cole has so many good lines. I like how he starts slow and then gets faster and towards the end his flows faster. favorite line is : Nas told me ‘Life’s a bitch’ Pac said ‘Fuck the world’ and I aint come(cum) yet and after this line his flow changes. If some of you guys haven’t listened to the warm up you definitely should listen to it.
just want to say i really like this site, keep up the good work.
Jai November 25, 2009
OK, OK, OK….. I’ll give it up for Wale’s Inhibitions joint. But you gotta at least tell me Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and everyone on that Young Money album are straight up garbage…Im a long-term Wu head, so i keep findin myself havin to lower my expectations lyrically jus to feel alot of these new cats!!! I gotta say, im hearin white dudes spittin better than most- Mac Lethal, Em, Aesop, Apathy, Brother Ali…..
DG November 28, 2009
im a big wale fan but j cole kills this one
enkore December 7, 2009
j. cole. easy.
he could stand up to jigga on a star is born(maybe even eminem him) , this is almost childs play for the dude haha
no but on the real, both these dudes are good no doubt but J. Cole is better than Wale. On this track and generally as well
Holla December 12, 2009
Gotta run with the kid Wale on this joint but they both are beast
mr.323 December 14, 2009
Pap been doing it for years and niggas ain’t appreciating the shit he putting out so whaz the use…and lately he has been doing freestyles and now u know why…I never knocked J.Cole or Wale they’re beast right now but how long with the radio allow them to be…same from Drake (but he’ll last longer than them only becuz radio music is what he do anyway)
mr.323 December 14, 2009
and since yall knocking Pap for what he not doing, yall must be the same niggas thatz pumping up Gucci Mane
thecool11o3 December 15, 2009
Not necessilarly mr. 323. Just cuhz we dont appreciate Papoose, doesnt mean we bump Gucci Mane. Besides half the dudes on here, listen to J.cole AND Wale. Everybody knows Gucci Mane is weak as hell. Or is he?
Meldawg December 15, 2009
haha pap’s lyrically solid, i will give him that… but there is more to being an artist than just that… j. cole and wale are both lyrical but their deliveries are on point too, in my opinion pap gets bland with his delivery, and i respect pap too for real… but, again in my opinion, lyrical excellence + a strong mic presence (delivery/flow) = the better rapper… and i think wale and j cole (who i think is an absolute natural) are just that…
oh and gucci is garbage…
top 3 guys that need to put down the mic:
1, Gucci
2. Soulja Boy
3. Oj da Juiceman
Honorable mention: Auto-Tune Lil Wayne, Rock Artist Lil Wayne, Birdman…
thecool11o3 December 15, 2009
I agree with Meldawg when he says there is more to just laying down lyrics. The rapper has to come with a certain approach instead of laying down line after line. They have be be on point with their delivery and come with that smooth flow that anybody can relate to.
Hey, why not add to the list of people who need to lay down the mic:
4. Birdman
5. Hurrican Chris
6. Jim Jones
(Soulja Boy belongs on here again, seriously)
radiostar23 January 14, 2010

Dbo January 27, 2010
