Up top is an outtake from Current TV’s Embedded with Common. In the outtake, Common talks about Kanye West, the influence Kanye has had on him and their friendship.

In this exclusive clip, Common talks about his longtime friend Kanye West and how they bonded over music, culture–and their moms. “I would be more shy,” Common says, until watching Kanye’s example. “Believing in yourself shouldn’t be offensive to anyone.”
