Recruiting XV for a a verse, the hook and production, TreaZon releases a new track that is from his upcoming mixtape, Breathe Life 2. The track, Like You Should, is a must download. Plus, hearing fresh XV is always good. Enjoy.

TreaZon recruits XV for the second leak from his upcoming mixtape, Breathe Life 2, presented by IM KING Clothing. TreaZon’s Breathe Life 2 is scheduled for release on November 24th, and XV’s Everybody’s Nobody is out now.

Two of most notable MCs, Rakim and Jadakiss, hop on the same track to produce one hell of a song. Though this will be on an upcoming Tapemasters INC. mixtape, This is Hip Hop 8, it will also be found on Rakim’s upcoming November 17th release, The Seventh Seal. According to Shake, apparently this is not Rakim’s final verse on the track and Busta Rhymes will be featured on the song as well. Link below, enjoy.

This is episode one of Posner’s “One Foot Out the Door” web series. In the first episode, Mike is headed back to Duke for his final year, when he is rushed off to Atlanta to do a show at Emory University. Episode 2 comes out October 14th and features him and Wale doin a show at Duke.

Looks like J. Cole took some time out of his schedule to make an appearance on BET’s The Deal. Up top, Cole speaks on making the move from Fayetteville to New York, linking up with Jay-Z, his mixtape, being the first signee of Hov’s Roc Nation and more. He even raps a little for the camera.

And the #8 hottest MC in the game goes to Fabolous. Again, we will get one a day through Friday and they will reveal #5-#1 this Sunday, during Diddy’s Starmaker.

Fabolous started his Loso’s Way campaign by telling the world that it was “his time,” and the boy from Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood lived up to his claim. Loso’s Way — a concept project inspired in part by the gangster film “Carlito’s Way” — became his first #1 LP on the Billboard albums chart, selling nearly 99,000 units in its first week of release. All year, we’ve been hearing “It’s Loso, in case you didn’t know, so …” for a reason: Fab never runs out of ammo with his tireless punch lines and swag!

Right out the gate, he had big radio and club records with “Throw It in the Bag” (and its sweltering remix, “Everything, Everywhere, Everyday”) and his latest, “Money Goes, Honey Stay” (He had the pull to not just get the beat and chorus for the record from Jay-Z, but he also scored a rare Hov cameo in the video). The rest of the album is bone-crunching: his unprecedented candor about his newborn son on “Stay,” the playful pathos of “Last Time” and the outright audacity on the “The Way (Intro).” He didn’t just play on his home field, either: Loso also came with numerous but diverse guest appearances alongside Rick Ross, The-Dream, Red Cafe, Ryan Leslie, Slim from 112, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx.

Like a lot of our other Hottest MCs, Fab has utilized the Web — but not just to give insight on what’s going on with his career, but he’s also introduced his followers to Fabolous the comedian. He’s a one-man Def Comedy Jam, joking on everyone from Bow Wow and T-Pain to Flo Rida. A testament to Loso’s popularity, when he speaks on topics on his Twitter page (such as Lil Mama’s VMA stage-crash), they become trending topics.

So how are you feeling about the list so far? Raekwon at number 10, 50 Cent at number 9 and now Fabolous at number 8.

Speaking from the High Line in New York, 88-Keys breaks down his favorite verse for SoulCultureTV.

88-Keys is one of my favorite artists. He’s been producing for greats (like Mos Def and Talib Kweli) since the late 90s, but his latest album The Death Of Adam proved he had it all. One of my favorite albums of last year.

First Method Man and now Raekwon? The Chef, Raekwon, talks about his upcoming, collaborative project with Method Man and Ghostface Killah. Rae talks about how he is excited for the album and that it might be coming out through Def Jam. Take a listen/view up top to get the skinny.

Sidebar: Def Jam or independent, I do not care who releases such an album because it will be bought no matter what. I don’t know about you, but this is exciting news.

I guess it was only fitting that Pusha T hopped on Lloyd’s latest single, Pusha, produced by The Runners. Isn’t Til the Casket Drops around the corner? To me, that is the real story. It seems like Lady Gaga dropped the secrets behind her upcoming tour with Kanye West, entitled Fame Kills Starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga. Personally, I think that this concept is more than amazing.

The storyline is that Kanye is on one end of the stage and I’m on the other, and the whole show, we are trying to get to where each other is,” she said. “I want something that he has, which is the fame, and he wants something that I have, which is home, and my humble beginnings. So we battle each other throughout the entire performance to steal each other’s spaces.”

Sidebar: I personally think that concept concerts/shows are the best. I think that I am going to have to purchase these tickets as soon as possible.
