And we finally get a word from BK’s finest, Jay-Z, about the recent leak of his upcoming album, Blueprint 3. Jay states, “Whether Timbaland or his camp got their email jacked, cuz it was only his songs. The whole thing is going to leak pretty soon.” Tim Kash interrupts, “Actually it happened,” as the press conference was going on. Jay then states, “I’ve learned to look at it as a great thing.”

This entry was posted byIt was only a matter of time. Last week a number of tracks from Jay-Z’s upcoming The Blueprint 3 leaked online, including his collaboration with Rookie of the Year Drake on “Off That.” Now, Hov has to deal with his entire album being on the Web: The Blueprint 3 popped up on blogs this morning around the time Jay-Z appeared at a press conference announcing his 9/11 tribute concert.
“I may be the most bootlegged artist in history,” he told MTV News shortly after his album leaked. “It’s a preview. I’m excited for people to hear the album. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done, so enjoy it.”
Jay kept it cool despite his material leaking out 10 days before the official release day. The iconic MC, though, had reason to relax: He has his own indicator to let him know whether reactions to his music are good or bad.
“My pager is actually ringing right now, so people are probably calling me and telling me they pretty much like it,” he explained. “I can tell by the way my pager rings if a song is good or not. It’s really going crazy right now.”
Looks like Juelz Santana could not resist the temptation to jump on Lloyd’s Pusha track and add a flavorful verse. Nothing against Lloyd, but if Santana did not lend a verse, I’d pass on listening to it. Love him or hate him, Santana can rap.

This entry was posted byIn the video clip above, Jay-Z does a 60-second Rhapsody ad, where he recreates each of his album covers.
This entry was posted byJay-Z has teamed up with Rhapsody® and MTV to promote the highly-anticipated release of his new album, “The Blueprint 3.” As part of the partnership, the entire album will be available for fans to listen to for free on Rhapsody.com and from MTV’s “The Leak”, almost two weeks prior to its official release. In addition, Rhapsody will also make the new album available for purchase beginning September 8, three days ahead of the street release, and will include two exclusive bonus tracks.
Leading this partnership, three new Rhapsody TV spots will debut starting on September 1 across MTV Networks. In addition to two 30-second ads, Rhapsody will premiere a 60-second version of the ad in the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13.
The Jay-Z spots are the latest installment of Rhapsody’s ongoing “Fans Get It” campaign. Rhapsody’s “Fans Get It” campaign kicked off earlier this year with a massive promotion around Green Day’s hugely successful release “21st Century Breakdown,” followed with more promotions with top artists in genres from pop to country. The “Fans Get It” campaign has utilized a similar treatment through all the ads, which celebrate the culture and iconography of artists’ careers, enabling them direct involvement in the creative development of the spot. These high-profile promotions both serve as a great vehicle to further connect music fans with the artists they love.
The leaks keep a’ rollin on in. I think this was one of the more anticipated joints off the Blueprint 3 album, so that’s why it gets posted. I think any leaks beyond this point won’t be posted…depends on how I’m feelin’ that day. Haha. Anyway, September 11th is the date. (that’s a Friday, how the fuck can he do that? I guess cause he’s Jay…) **UPDATE: Added the track featuring J. Cole. No longer debating. These will be the last leaks I post from the album.
