David Banner Wants You To Vote Him Secretary of Homeland Security!

LOL! David Banner is a fool. Anything to get that promotion though. I halfway thought he was serious, til he said “stuntin is a habit”. He lost ALL support after that. But from that pic on his myspace with all those guns, he probably could protect us. Haha. But that’s my boy. Remember, Greatest Story Ever Told in stores July 15th, better believe I will be coppin it!

Alfamega goes to Bankhead himself and goes around the hood asking people bout the T.I. Shawty Lo beef. I gotta agree with what Alfamega said about why you choose this time to go at him, while police watching. That’s what I been saying all along.

Ray J comes forth and addresses the rumors about a Danity Kane sex tape and the rumors about him having drugs on him during their stay at a hotel just last month.

Memorable Quote : at 3:29 “You need a piece of meat in your mouth!”  HAHA!  I could easily see why rumors would start flying around this video.  They’re drunk, in a hotel, 2 women, 1 man…not hard to beleive…but whatever

That’s a good way to create a buzz. Let the rumors be out there for a while, then when people start to forget about them, make a video saying they’re not true. Ray J’s All I Need album is in stores now, and “Gifts” is coming to a radio near you soon. I personally like that track there.

I wondered about this story, as I listened to “The Giant” earlier today.. It’s been confirmed by multiple sources that Obie Trice and Shady Records are no longer partners.  The Track (LISTEN HERE) talks about the issue pretty obviously.

“Obie and Shady were moving in different directions,” Obie’s manager, Terry Wilson, said in a statement. “But he still has a great relationship with Shady Records. He has some big plans for his Worldwide Hustle label.”

Later in the track, Obie implies that he left his home at Shady because of its parent company, Interscope Records.

Obie has been signed to Shady Records for nearly eight years. Over those years, he’s released two albums — his debut Cheers, which went on to go platinum; and Second Round’s On Me, which failed to produce numbers close to his debut.

His next album is titled Bottoms Up.

Man, I didn’t realize it’s been eight years.  Eight years and 2 albums would probably cause me to leave too.  A lot of rappers ar leaving the big labels to do their own thing.  Everybody is making a name for themselves on the big labels then going independent to make more money, (at least, that’s their intention).  Good Luck to Obie, shouts out to all my Detroit readers!

Hot 97 announced the cancellation of Miss Jones in the morning as early as July 21st.

In my opinion this was a bad move, other than FunkMaster Flex show, Miss Jones in the Morning was one of their best shows. Miss Jones was a great radio personality who was controversial yet very entertaining. She didn’t treat hip hop stars like Gods like some Radio Stations. She kept it real and whether u liked it or not she was gonna speak her mind. Miss Jones will be missed in New York, but I’m pretty sure she’ll be back sooner than u think. My prediction is she’ll get a deal with Sirius or XM Radio.
